FlowBin Supply aims to keep returns clear, fair, and easy to follow. The sections below explain when a return can be requested, what qualifies for a refund or exchange, and how to submit a return correctly.

1. Your Rights Under South African Law
This policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.
Under Section 56 of the CPA, all goods carry an implied 6-month warranty of quality. This means products must be:
Suitable for their intended purpose
Of good quality and in good working order
Free from defects
Durable for a reasonable period
If goods fail to meet these standards within 6 months of delivery, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.
2. Standard 30-Day Return Window
You may request a return within 30 days of delivery or collection for eligible items.
Reporting issues as soon as possible helps avoid delays with inspections, courier arrangements, and stock allocation.
3. Eligible Returns
Returns may be approved for:
Incorrect item supplied (does not match the invoice or order confirmation)
Damage during transit (must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, with photos)
Manufacturing defects
Items that are not suitable for their intended purpose
Change of mind (subject to condition requirements below)
Used and reconditioned products are inspected before dispatch. Returns for these items are assessed based on condition and usage.
4. Cooling-Off Period (Direct Marketing Sales)
If your purchase was made through direct marketing, you may cancel the transaction within 5 business days of delivery, as provided for under the CPA.
Goods must be returned unused and in original condition.
The customer may be responsible for return shipping.
A reasonable handling fee may apply if goods were used beyond inspection.
This does not apply to custom-made or specially ordered items.
5. Items Not Accepted for Return
Returns will generally not be approved for:
Normal wear and tear
Misuse, abuse, or incorrect installation
Unauthorised repairs or modifications
Damage caused by negligence or improper storage
Incorrect parts ordered due to sizing, thread type, or compatibility assumptions (unless defective)
Customers are encouraged to confirm compatibility before purchase.
6. Condition Requirements
To qualify for a 30-day return (non-defective items), goods must be:
Unused and in original condition
Clean and safe to handle
Complete with all parts and accessories
Returned in secure packaging
All returns are inspected before approval of refund, exchange, or replacement.
7. Refunds, Repairs, and Replacements
Within 14 Days
If the return is approved, we may offer:
Replacement (subject to stock availability)
Exchange for an alternative product
Refund (where applicable)
Defective Goods (Within 6 Months – CPA)
You may choose between:
Repair
Replacement
Refund
If a repair fails within 3 months, a replacement or refund must be provided.
Refunds are processed via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
8. Delivery and Return Shipping
Return shipping responsibility depends on the reason for return:
Supplier error, defect, or transit damage: Return shipping will be covered or arranged.
Change of mind or incorrect selection: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Original delivery fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to supplier fault.
9. How to Request a Return
To request a return, please email support with:
Order ID
Proof of purchase
Photos showing the issue (if applicable)
Delivery address and contact number (if collection is required)
You will receive further instructions regarding assessment and packaging.
